What is tested
Seven areas, checked thoroughly
An MOT checks the maintenance that keeps your vehicle running reliably and safely. During a standard test these areas are scrutinised:

Pass or fail, explained
The decision to pass or fail is at the discretion of the tester, strictly following the official guidelines. A pass certificate shows that at the time of the test, your vehicle met or exceeded the minimum safety standards.
